Our Expert's NFL Picks For Week 14

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams (+6, O/U 44.5)

Where to watch

Thursday, December 8th, 1:00 PM EST at SoFi Stadium on Amazon Prime

Las Vegas Raiders at Los Angeles Rams Prediction

The Raiders are off a few back-to-back wins as they start to figure things out on the offensive side of the ball. The Rams have looked like a deflated team all year and are looking worse than they could have ever imagined. Every time the Raiders play in LA it’s essentially a home game, tons of Raider fans from LA, the Bay, and Vegas will all travel to the Rams’ house. Look for the Raiders to continue their win streak in a loud, silver & black SoFi Stadium.

Expert Pick:

Las Vegas Raiders -6.0

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers (-2, O/U 37.5)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 1:00 PM EST at Acresuree Stadium

Baltimore Ravens at Pittsburgh Steelers Prediction

The Ravens barely squeaked out a win against the lowly Denver Broncos last week and lost their star Quarterback Lamar Jackson in the process who will be out for a few weeks with a knee injury. The Steelers are finally starting to figure it out on the offensive end with Kenny Pickett limiting the turnovers and constantly moving the ball downfield. Both coaches have similar styles and usually lean on the defense to get the job done. There shouldn’t be many points scored in this one, especially on the Raven’s side of the ball.

Expert Pick:

Baltimore Ravens Team Total under 17.0 points

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions (-2.5, O/U 53)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 1:00 PM EST at Ford Field

Minnesota Vikings at Detroit Lions Prediction

With a 5-7 record you would think the Detroit Lions would have a tough matchup against the 10-2 Minnesota Vikings, but the oddsmakers have the Lions as favorites here. The Lions have been playing hard every game under second-year head coach Dan Campbell. He’s gotten them ready to play and ready to rally every game for the past 2 years. There is no quit in these Lions. While the Lions have been a nice surprise this year, it’s hard to justify betting on them as a favorite.

Expert Pick:

Minnesota Vikings +2.5

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans (-3.5, O/U 41.5)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 1:00 PM EST at Nissan Stadium

Jacksonville Jaguars at Tennessee Titans Prediction

The Jaguars have looked better the past few weeks and head coach Doug Pederson has been leaving his fingerprints on this young team as they learn and develop. The Titans are coming off a tough loss to one of the league's best teams. The Titans travel back home to play this one in Nashville where the fans will be ready to rally as the Titans try to battle it out for the division. Tennessee is the more physical team with the better coach and will be looking to avenge their embarrassing loss last week.

Expert Pick:

Tennessee Titans -3.5

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants (+7, O/U 45.5)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 1:00 PM EST at Met Life Stadium

Philadelphia Eagles at New York Giants Prediction

The Eagles look for another win to improve to 12-1 as the Giants try to bounce back and stay competitive in the NFC East after their 20-20 overtime tie against the Commanders. The Giants have been struggling as of late and the Eagles keep on rolling. The Giants seem like a team that can play with anyone but is too limited at skill positions to make plays when the game is on the line. While a blowout is unlikely, the Eagles have an excellent chance to keep their win streak alive.

Expert Pick:

Philadelphia Eagles -7

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills (-10, O/U 44)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 1:00 PM EST at High Mark Stadium

New York Jets at Buffalo Bills Prediction

The Jets shocked the world a few weeks ago with their win over the Bills and that was with recently benched quarterback Zach Wilson. Now the Jets are starting third-string quarterback Mike White who the locker room really likes. The Jets have been playing better as of late, but so have the Bills. Star defensive end Von Miller is questionable in this one and may not play at all which would be a blow to the Bills' already hobbled defense. While the Jets have already proven they can beat the Bills, it would be hard to imagine a team of Buffalo’s caliber dropping two games to them this year, especially with a few extra days to prepare. The Bills win but the Jets find a way to keep it close.

Expert Pick:

New York Jets +10

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals (-7, O/U 47.5)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 1:00 PM EST at Paycor Stadium

Cleveland Browns at Cincinnati Bengals Prediction

Deshaun Watson made his first start down in Houston last week and ended up getting the win late in the game. It is hard to gauge how well Deshaun played because Houston has the worst team in the league and it was his first game back in nearly two years after his misconduct allegations. The Bengals have proven that their Super Bowl team last year isn’t a fluke as they’ve started to come back into form as the season has progressed. There’s a lot of offensive firepower on both teams in this Ohio matchup, but the Bengals have more. Joe Mixon, Jamar Chase, and Tee Higgins should find a way to get out into the open field and score some points. There is too much continuity and talent for the Bengals to lose this one.

Expert Pick:

Cincinnati Bengals -7.0

Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys (-17, 44.5)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th 1:00 PM EST at AT&T Stadium

Houston Texans at Dallas Cowboys Prediction

The Texans are the worst team in the league by far. There hasn’t been much positive for the Houston squad. The only good thing about this game for the Texans is the fact that it’s a short flight back home to Houston after they get whooped on Sunday. The Cowboys beat down the Colts on national television to cap off Week 13 and they will look to continue their dominance with a week 14 beat down of the Houston Texans. It’s normally not smart to take double-digit favorites in the NFL but there is no bright spot for this Texans team.

Expert Pick:

Dallas Cowboys -17.0

Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Chargers (+3, O/U 52.5)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 4:25 PM EST at SoFi Stadium

Miami Dolphins at Los Angeles Chargers Prediction

The Dolphins are coming off a disappointing loss to the 49ers which had Jimmy G. on the sidelines for most of the game. Miami didn’t play terribly but Tua Tagovailoa could not hit his receivers, even when they were wide-open. Tua has been the most accurate QB in the NFL this season so it was quite alarming to see him miss wide-open guys all game. Not sure if this is indicative of an underlying injury to this throwing arm or if his adrenaline was just too high. The Los Angeles Chargers have continued their mediocre year of being talented enough but not experienced enough to close out and finish games. The Dolphins are the better team here but the Chargers have the better quarterback in Justin Herbert. This should be a close matchup that sees a lot of points scored. Look for the Dolphins to shake off the last game and win a close one in Los Angeles.

Expert Pick:

Miami Dolphins' Team Total over 28 points

Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks (-3.5, O/U 43.5)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 4:25 PM EST at Century Link Field

Carolina Panthers at Seattle Seahawks Prediction

The Seattle Seahawks look like they could be regressing a bit from their dominant start to the season. They are still getting wins, but in a different fashion than they were earlier in the year. The Seahawk's offense has been able to put up points on a consistent basis and shouldn’t struggle against Carolina’s defense. While the Seahawks can win, they may struggle to cover the point spread.

Expert Pick:

Seattle Seahawks Moneyline -190

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers (-3.5, O/U 37)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 4:25 PM EST at Levi Stadium

Tampa Bay Buccaneers at San Francisco 49ers Prediction

In typical Tom Brady fashion, he closed out Week 13 of the NFL on Monday Night Football with a heroic 2-minute drill that ended with a game-winning touchdown. He’s still able to get it done, even at age 45. Prior to Week 13, the 49ers were looking like a Super Bowl favorite but now they’ve lost their star quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo to a season-ending foot injury. San Francisco has the best defense in the league and the Buccaneers have been struggling to move the football. This could be a close matchup between struggling offenses and stout defenses. Look for a low points total in this one.

Expert Pick:

Tampa Bay & San Francisco under 37 points

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos (+9.5, O/U 43)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 1:00 PM EST at Empower Field at Mile High on NBC

Kansas City Chiefs at Denver Broncos Prediction

This is going to be bad. The Denver Broncos have had the worst offense and Russell Wilson has been the worst quarterback by far this season. There doesn’t seem to be much hope in Denver that they will figure things out this year. The Chiefs have been outstanding for most of the season and will have some extra motivation considering they lost a tough one to the Cincinnati Bengals last week. No need to overthink this one. Weirder things have happened, but the Chiefs should be able to get it done and cover the point spread.

Expert Pick:

Kansas City Chiefs -9.5

New England Patriots at Arizona Cardinals (+1, O/U 44.5)

Where to watch

Sunday, December 11th, 1:00 PM EST at State Farm Stadium on ESPN

New England Patriots at Arizona Cardinals Prediction

Even though the patriots have been underwhelming in spots, they are at least a cohesive unit and there’s no drama that anyone can see. The Arizona Cardinals are crumbling before everyone’s eyes on the field and in the locker room, (which you can watch unfold on HBO’s Hard Knocks). Kyler Murray and Cliff Kingsbury obviously don’t like each other and don’t get along at all, which makes it hard to win football games. The Patriots are limited on offense, but they at least like each other and respect their head coach. This just seems like a stereotypical win for Bill Belichick and the Patriots on primetime tv, although he’s struggled with running quarterbacks in the past.

Expert Pick:

New England Patriots -1
